David Price picked up his AL-best 14th victory after limiting the Tigers to two runs in 6 1/3 innings. He allowed seven hits, walked two and struck out nine for the Rays, who have won six in a row. Dan Wheeler recorded the final six outs to record the save, his second of the season. Rick Porcello (4-9) allowed four runs on five hits and two walks in 7 1/3 innings. The right-hander also fanned eight, but lost his fifth consecutive decision. Will Rhymes and Ramon Santiago each went 2-for-4 for the Tigers, who have dropped six of seven. |
